Job Summary
The Associate Director, Contracting Strategy & Operations will be responsible for contract management, oversight, business strategy, contract operations, account level operations management, and internal alignment with functional departments for all Contracts related to the Specialty products division, which may expand to other product categories in the future. This will include and is not limited to:
Contract Management drafting, execution routing, contract platform maintenance and management, implementation, performance, and governance. Provide subject matter expertise inclusive of Business terms / conditions
Account-level Operations Management implementation of product access strategies and tactics, day-to-day operational management of customer accounts, including but not limited to payers, PBMs, MBMs and GPOs.
Internal Alignment conduct business in a way that proactively aligns with internal functional teams and departments, such as legal/compliance, finance, audit, IT, market access, pricing, marketing, and operations. Create new processes, enhance current process, and setup up monthly/quarterly touch points to ensure strategic continued alignment for the success of specialty product contracting.
This position is field-based and will be meeting with Payer/Plan customers and in close association with the field based IDN Account teams on contract strategy and analysis. This position will ensure contracts are strategically analyzed and reviewed in a timely manner, externally distributed to customers, and internally routed for operational success once executed. Operational success is inclusive of contract loading accuracy, timely routing, and collaborating with the Revenue team for contract pricing and rebate structures (from a loading and reconciliation perspective). Newly developed processes will be required, as well as integration with multiple platforms, both internal and 3rd party.
This position will also assist with developing and maintaining a new contract management platform for specialty product contracts. The new contact management platform will be expected to align with legal, compliance, and auditing requirements and protocols. Connectivity with Amneal's BI Dashboard by proactively distributing pertinent info and documentation to our 3rd party partner(s).
Essential Functions
Contracting Strategy and Management responsible for creating a Center of Excellence for specialty product contracting strategy and the management of contracts by working to understand current processes and create evolved processes to enhance efficiencies. New and existing contracts require accurate drafting/redlining, implementation working across multiple internal stakeholders, weekly performance reviews with applicable guidance to the field/customers, ensuring contracts maintain pricing governance approvals, and contract renewal review cycles.
Account-level Operations Management identify, draft and maintain contract templates, develop and enhance contract operations management processes, create alignment with field account managers and their respective customer accounts.
Internal Alignment work closely with Legal, Revenue and IT to determine where new efficiencies can better align to the specialty contracting strategies. Proactively collaborate with Pricing and Marketing teams for seamless quarterly transitions for each customer segment, and accurately communicate with field teams and customers.
Contract performance assessment- support the performance of trend analysis of units, sales, and price points, supporting Gross-to-Net (GTN), as well as ad hoc reporting.
Assist Finance by providing input and feedback to help ensure monthly/quarterly accruals are accurate.
Attend pertinent external industry meetings and conferences where key leaders and decision makers are in attendance.
Education
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) In a relevant field - Required
Paralegal certificate - Preferred
Work Experience
10 years or more of pharmaceutical/biotech contract operations and contract management experience - Required
3 years or more of experience working directly with legal teams and attorneys - Required
5 years or more of experience working in various Market Access capacities (i.e. Key Account Manager/Director) - Required
