McCain Foods facility in Burley, Idaho is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 700 employees. This site specializes in the production frozen potato products.

\ Position Summary:

McCain Foods is currently accepting applications for Plant Maintenance Mechanic positions on anight shift(7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.)at the Burley, Idaho plant.Plant maintenance is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance duties and mechanical repairs to operate, repair, adjust, install, rebuild, and fabricate various types of machinery and systems for the factory.

- - Plumbing, welding, and electrical repairs; using technical tools, instruments, and other materials to operate, repair, adjust, install, rebuild and fabricate various types of machinery and systems for the factory.

Qualifications:

- - Education required: 1 year certificate from college or technical school and 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Packaging maintenance experience is preferred.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Prior experience in a potato processing facility is a plus.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Physical Demand\ Constant:use and movement of hands and standing on regularly scheduled shift.

Frequently:Bending, walking, grasping of hands, and reaching for up to 3 -6 hours daily.

Occasionally:Bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist, pushing and pulling for up to 3 hours a day.
