We are looking to add a Processing Technician to the team! The Processing Technician will work in a Class 100 Cleanroom environment and join the team who makes the World’s Best Infrared Detectors. The candidate will assist in processing ROIC production wafers through front-end processes such as Photolithography, Indium Depositions and Wafer Inspection.

The Processing Technician operates and maintains process equipment such as Thermal evaporation chambers, E-beam metal deposition, PECVD, ICP etchers, Photolithography aligners and steppers, Metrology tools and other processing systems. This includes performing preventive maintenance on some key equipment. Provide technical and hands-on development to Teledyne Imaging Sensors highly complex Array Production programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate deposition equipment and etch tools including Metal chambers, PECVD, RIE and ICP tools contributing to process and yield improvements.

  • Perform metallization steps and inspections

  • Photolithography alignment tools

  • Photo resist coating, baking and pattern developing of wafers

  • Use Metrology tools for thin film measurements

  • Room temperature probing

  • Extensive microscope inspection and defect documentation

  • Provide recommendations for new tooling and process control configurations to improve yield, cost, or cycle time.

  • Performs preventative maintenance on key equipment as required to ensure top quality process equipment for front end detector array processing.

  • Assist in training of department peers on detector processes and equipment as needed.

  • Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data

  • Follows established travelers and work instructions for all work performed

  • Follow all proper clean room protocol and safety procedures.

  • Preform daily SPC data input and tracking.

  • Order materials and cleanroom supplies as needed.

Qualifications & Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Ability to utilize complicated drawings and mathematics formulas and a variety of precision measuring instruments.

  • Ability to contribute to the improvement and development of concepts and techniques for front end detector processing.

  • Capability to complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways.

  • Ability to make recommendations for new procedures.

  • Ability to make independent, informed decisions in determining methods and procedures for new assignments.

  • Must be a team player and interact well with fellow technicians and other engineers and peers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

  • Technician will be working on 1st shift but must be open to possible future shift changes

  • Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma with three (3) to five (5) years of experience or Associate’s Degree with one (1) to three (3) years of experience in Array Processing

Other Requirements

  • Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range:

$50,820.00-$67,870.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
