We are adding a Wet Chemical Processing Technician to the team! You will work in a Class 100 cleanroom environment and join a team that makes the world’s best infrared detectors. The Wet Chemical Processing Technician will sustain wet etching and surface cleaning processes, assists other process modules as required, and provides hands-on contributions to Teledyne’s highly complex detector array production programs. This position will be working on 1st shift but must be open to possible future shift changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position includes the following job functions. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sustains wet etching operations according to work instructions.

  • Measuring, mixing, and handling various chemicals.

  • Acid etching and solvent cleaning.

  • Photoresist processing.

  • Metrology tools for thin film measurements.

  • Microscope inspection and defect documentation.

  • Recording and entering data

  • Follows the established process flows and procedures for all work performed.

  • Works with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) system for process execution, process tracking and data reporting.

  • Provides recommendations for new tooling and process control configurations to improve yield, cost, safety, or cycle time.

  • Assists in training of department peers on detector fabrication and process equipment maintenance as needed.

  • Follows all proper cleanroom protocol and safety procedures.

  • Orders materials and cleanroom supplies as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Ability to complete processing tasks according to the detailed instructions.

  • Ability to work with wafer handling tools such as carriers, tweezers, and small tools.

  • Ability to utilize math for a variety of precision measuring tools.

  • Ability to work independently, with high quality, and on tight schedule.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to contribute to process improvements both conceptually and technically.

  • Ability to make recommendations for new procedures.

  • Good team player and interacting well with fellow technicians and engineers.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).

  • Exemplary business ethics and work routine cognizant of safe work practices.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma with minimum of three years of semiconductor processing experience or associate degree with minimum one year of experience.

  • Knowledge in basic chemistry and experience with wet chemical processing a plus.

Citizenship Requirement

  • Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range:

$50,820.00-$67,870.000
