TPI Equipment Services Engineer The TerraPower Isotopes (TPI) Equipment Services Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and modifications for TPI systems which primarily include radiological systems and components such as gloveboxes, hot cells, hot cell manipulators, and other specialty equipment. This individual will work closely with the Everett Lab Facility Engineer who similarly oversees maintenance and modifications to the overall building and facility equipment. The TPI Equipment Services Engineer will coordinate and schedule external vendors as well as plan and write work procedures for internally executed maintenance. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, a firm grasp of engineering fundamentals to troubleshoot and solve complex equipment problems, and a solid foundation of work in a radiologically controlled environment. Responsibilities * Oversee the Maintenance Program including planned and corrective maintenance and outages for TPI project equipment under radiological controls. * Coordinate scheduling of maintenance with the TPI project operators and researchers and with the Everett Laboratory Facility Operations and Maintenance Manager. * Coordinate with, schedule, and oversee the work of external vendors to conduct maintenance. Approve work procedures provided by external vendors. * Lead the search for and define scope of work for new vendors in support of maintenance. * Lead the technical troubleshooting efforts for equipment failures and develop corrective maintenance plans for the same. Coordinate with the Health Physics team and Radiation Safety Officer to ensure proper controls of radioactive materials and radiological work. * Monitor the performance of TPI project equipment as leading indicators of equipment failure. * Supervise TPI maintenance technicians. * Draft maintenance procedures which are conducted by TerraPower personnel. * Ensure maintenance technicians are properly trained and qualified to execute maintenance tasks. Seek outside resources for work not within the expertise of the maintenance technicians. * Ensure maintenance technicians are supplied with the tools required for the work and that the tools are in calibration and working order. * Maintain equipment logs and maintenance records.
