GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Sourcing Manager manages the sourcing of certain commodities, supplier contract reviews, negotiations, supplier scorecard and reviews with suppliers. Drives global sourcing initiatives across manufacturing sites in North America, Italy and Asia. Has responsibility for instituting standardized sourcing processes across manufacturing operations. Drives cross-functional collaboration with plant purchasing, planning, finance, quality, and engineering functions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates strategic sourcing process with cross-functional teams for supplier management and material risk mitigation.

  • Supports New Product Development (NPD) sourcing activities with the design and engineering teams. Fosters early supplier involvement in providing high quality products meeting schedule and cost requirements.

  • Single point of contact for all sourcing related issues for a design center.

  • Full ownership for establishing and driving results of sourcing strategy for assigned commodity.

  • Analyzes spend; determines opportunities, recommends what to buy, how to buy and where to buy.

  • Tracks and measures supplier performance via score carding while fully analyzing and understanding supplier's economics.

  • Develops an understanding of supplier market economics and implications for procurement and look for opportunities to reduce costs.

  • Establishes and maintains a stable source of supply. Balances risk between supplier and Oakley.

  • Acts as a central communication liaison for suppliers and development/venture groups on all technical and logistical situations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • S. Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience (level of judgment and decision making, level of autonomy, analytical skills, stakeholder management and interface with senior staff, written and verbal communication skills)

  • Masters Degree Strongly Preferred

  • Requires high degree of human relation skills for managing subordinates or working with external contacts.

  • Strong project management skills with ability to plan tasks, assign and manage resources, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team members across multiple functions and multiple regions.

  • 8+ years of experience international sourcing, experience in direct materials sourcing, purchasing, engineering or supply chain management in a manufacturing or services industry environment

  • 5+ years of experience supply chain management. Experience working with R&D teams in new product sourcing preferred. Strong negotiation skills a must.

  • Chemical or Mechanical technology / sourcing experience.

  • Strong use of MS-office.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, with customer driven focus and sense of urgency.

  • Experience working with global organizations and in a matrix environment.

​Pay Range: [[$125,597.00]] - [[$180,337.00]]

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
