Manager – Steel and Mechanical :– Technically involved in design, development, co-ordination,

manufacturing, installation and testing and implementation of Steel Platforms and Mechanical Equipment.

Your new role – Challenging and future oriented

  • Design-Engineering of Steel Platforms for BHS

  • Design-Engineering of Mechanical System for Baggage conveying system at Airports

  • Design-Engineering of Mechanical Products for Baggage conveying system at Airports

  • Leading the design, development and testing and commissioning of BHS

  • Leading a team of Engineers and Front ending Client for all Technical aspects of the project

  • Technical support to the site execution team for installation, commissioning and testing

  • High performance team leader and delivering quality projects, products.

  • You will be executing in a fast-paced environment, driving for results and continuous improvements in

  • Enterprise Performance.

  • Primary point of contact for assigned work, report on scope, schedule, deliverables

  • Build and maintain a team with high morale.

  • Coordinates with project management, engineering, procurement and manufacturing personnel to

  • provide technical advice, develop alternatives and resolve problems.

  • Travelling to Site for implementation and to meet Customer

  • Pre-Sales Design and Estimation during Bidding phase

Skills Required

  • The position is a client facing role, Associate must be able to communicate clearly with customer and with the team.

  • Oral and written communications skills must be excellent, in English

Engineering Manager for BHS system

  • The Steel and Mechanical Engineering Manager is accountable to establish a world class Mechanical Engineering Team to support onshore/offshore activities for an exciting global organization. The role is responsible for the technical and administrative leadership of a team of mechanical engineers for delivering local and global projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide line management to a team of steel and mechanical engineers who will undertake the design and support implementation of Baggage handling mechanical products and system solutions

  • Perform all mechanical design activities for delivery of a customer project, including leading a team of mechanical engineers through the mechanical tasks required for projects

  • Responsible for Mechanical and Structural design in adherence to global installation standards either with global standard products and/or re-designing to suit customer’s requirement

  • Successfully deliver mechanical design solutions in line with performance KPIs for quality, on-time delivery, and cost.

  • Ensure that engineers meet company expectations and deadline through regular review and monitoring, skill management, technical mentoring, coaching, identifying training needs etc.

  • To work with the global stakeholders and accurately forecast future resource demands and competencies for effective and seamless execution of local and global projects

  • Develop competency & capability roadmap for the Team, in line with the project requirements

  • Review and confirm project solution and design hours estimates (in consultation with the Project Manager)

  • Lead reviewing, checking and approval of documents (like drawings, calculations, bill of material, time sheets etc.)

  • Deliver continuous process improvements in efficiency of the department

  • Assist the sales team in technical bids and proposals

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in Material handling industry, preferably Baggage handling systems

  • Minimum 4 year of previous people management experience (direct reports)

  • Exposure of working in an multicultural environment

Competencies

  • Good leadership skills and a high level of flexibility.

  • Proficient in working in a high paced and highly challenging environment.

  • Knowledge of design for structural elements

  • Broad Knowledge in Engineering Basics

  • Good communication skills to report effectively on the project status at all levels of the organization.

  • Good stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with other disciplines.

  • Experience in software like Autocad, Navisworks, Revit

  • Belt Conveyor Power calculation, Geared motor selection etc.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds

  • UG or PG in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally

  • Fluency in English
