PRESCHOOL TEACHERWe are seeking an individual who has a passion for making a difference in the lives of children. At First Lutheran Preschool, be prepared to smile everyday you are at work. You are the first person to be entrusted with the shaping of a little persons mind, the first music teacher, the first person to inspire creativity, and the person who will prepare them for the next step, big kid school. We are seeking a patient, cheerful and enthusiastic individual who is able to accept and adapt to change, has good time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, while being a self-starter with ability to take ownership and accountability of all roles and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Will administer the preschool program in accordance with state rules and regulations. This person needs to have an aptitude in early childhood curriculum. Must understand the social, psychological and recreational needs of children, and be able to plan and organize learning opportunities geared to individual student needs. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, an Associate Degree in early childhood education, a CDA; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. TRAINING REQUIRED: During employment, the preschool teacher is required to attend conferences such as the Early Childhood Conference and similar workshops to collect new theories and approaches to teaching the children at FLP. Must become certified in infant, child and adult CPR in addition to Red Cross First Aid.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
