Klosterman Baking Company Sanitation Team Member - 2nd Shift in Morristown, Indiana

All hourly 3rd shift sanitation associates will be held to a high standard of efficiency as they work to clean equipment, utensils, and food containers throughout the bakery. All associates are to keep quality. Bakery safety, food safety, and efficiency top of mind as they work- following SQF and OSHA mandated processes.

PAY OF $22.64 AN HOUR!

  • 8 hr Shift Saturday-Wednesday

Sanitation Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Quality, while completing tasks outlined in the master, daily, and weekly sanitation schedule. Associates will also be required to maintain routine sanitation ATP swabs to verify bakery equipment is cleaned properly, as instructed by SSOP regulations.

  • Safety, demonstrating behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries, especially when handling hazardous chemicals. Proper PPE during SSOPs is mandatory at all times. Lock Out Tag Out procedures must be completed entirely during every equipment cleaning. Achieving an “accident free” work environment 24/7 is company policy.

  • Efficiency, cleaning all equipment thoroughly in a timely manner. Associate is responsible for disassembling equipment, getting it to the wash room, cleaning thoroughly, returning sanitized equipment and reassembling properly for the next start up.

  • Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).

  • Work as a member of a team or group of people

  • Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements (no cell phones, proper bending, etc.), use personal protective equipment, and proactively address any unsafe conditions observed.

  • Initiative: Self-starter, gets involved quickly, takes on difficult tasks with enthusiasm. Takes action to achieve goals beyond what is required.

  • Energy: Maintains high activity/productivity level. Operates with sense of urgency, efficiency, effectiveness and determination over extended periods of time.

  • Ability to stand / walk over the course of an 8 hour shift

  • Ability to lift 55 pounds in certain jobs

  • Ability to work a rotational schedule including weekends and most holidays.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines.

  • Follow the 7 steps of wet and dry cleaning.

  • Utilize battery operated floor scrubbers.

  • Be able to work in wet conditions.

  • Adhere to all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)

Requirements

Sanitation Team Member Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Must have a valid Driver Licenses

  • Must be able to pass a drug screening

  • Candidate must be able to lift heavy objects repeatedly

  • Previous experience in a Bakery (Preferred)

  • Must be comfortable with heights

  • Ability to handle physical workload

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize

  • Required to purchase slip-resistant shoes prior to start date
