Permobil, Inc. Associate Finisher in Pasco, Washington

Associate Finisher Associate Finishers are responsible for the prepping of frames prior to either our satin (blasted) finish or for our powder coating process. They are also responsible for stripping and re-prepping any frames that do not pass our internal specifications prior to re-powder coating. Operating hand grinders and utilizing our blast machines are the primary duties of an associate finisher. Our Fabrication department in Pasco, WA is now looking for a Associate Finisher. Key Tasks Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision. Basic understanding of the grinding/blast prep process. Basic understanding of the finish related pass/fail criteria. Operating a hand grinder. Ability to be able to distinguish different frame and component types and match to proper paperwork based on specification callouts. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhereto safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Follow direction, procedures, and instructions for all work assignments. Work as a team and maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization. Other duties as assigned. Your Background High school diploma or GED equivalent. 1 year of sand blasting or hand grinding experience, preferred. Proficiency in the English language (written and oral). Typically requires less than 0-3 years of related experience. Typically requires a general education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training Maintain regular and predictable attendance; reports to work on time. Good mechanical skills. High attention to detail. Team player. Time Management. Decision-making. Self-starting ability.
