About the Team

Workday's GTM Legal, Contract Solutions team supports the Company's Go To Market Legal team in a wide variety of transactional and in-depth work. This worldwide team is comprised of contract management professionals who handle diverse categories of work across Workday's customer base and net new accounts. The team is asked to manage a large volume of requests and in collaboration with several cross functional teams.

About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing Contracts Analyst to join our Legal team. In this role, you will assume a wide range of responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. We are looking for someone with outstanding attention to detail, high energy, strong project management skills and a positive attitude.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage workflow for contract review process for a variety of contract types, beginning with receipt of requests for contract generation through routing for signatures and final distribution

  • Assist with maintenance of contracts management system as well as implementation and enforcement of contract policies

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during contract review acting as a key contact for the legal department by providing guidance on commonly requested edits, non-standard terms, policies, copies, questions, etc.

  • Review proposed modifications to contracts and work with internal business partners and third party to negotiate terms, and obtain approvals for modifications as required

  • Draft and revise contract wording to address various situations as they arise

  • Maintain processes between legal department and other groups and collaborate on ways to continually improve the contracts administration process

  • Assist with legal review and response to requests for proposals

  • Provide administrative and other support to in-house legal staff, including research, correspondence and record-keeping

  • Execute assigned projects as determined by needs of the business and department

     

About You

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or above

  • 5+ years of experience managing contracts (including drafting and negotiation) in a corporate environment

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with public contracting laws, Federal Contracts and/or State, Local and Education (SLED) contracts is desirable but not require

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with a contract management system, e.g.. Apttus or others

  • Experience with electronic signature software, e.g. EchoSign, Docusign

  • Strong collaborative spirit, including outstanding influence and interpersonal skills

The annualized base salary ranges for the p imary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $76,000 USD - $114,000 USD

 

 

Additional CAN Location(s) Base Pay Range: $ - $ CAD
