Description Skilled Financial Analyst candidates will be interested in Robert Half's new job opening. There is a Financial Analyst job open for candidates who are interested in becoming a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. Your duties would include conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you're a good fit for this position. Successful candidates will also be able to advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is a long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity, is based in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area.

What you get to do every day

• This position would best fit a flexible individual who has experience managing expectations and feels comfortable working with a large amount of information

• Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

• Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

• Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

• Gather and oversee forecasting reports

• Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

• Work with contacts in Accounting and Operations to support business plans

• Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

• Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends

• Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support

• Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Financial analysis experience required

• Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

• Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

• Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

• Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

• Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience considered)
