Robert Half is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our client in the healthcare industry as a Patient Financial Administrator. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between patients, healthcare providers, and financial systems, ensuring seamless financial transactions and exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities:

  • Patient Financial Counseling: Provide personalized financial counseling to patients, addressing questions, concerns, and payment options. Empower patients to understand their financial responsibilities and make informed decisions about their healthcare.

  • Insurance Verification and Authorization: Verify patients' insurance coverage, eligibility, and pre-authorization requirements. Work closely with insurance companies to ensure timely approvals and minimize patient financial burdens.

  • Billing Support and Patient Accounts Management: Assist patients with understanding medical bills, insurance claims, and payment plans. Coordinate with billing departments to resolve billing inquiries, discrepancies, and insurance denials.

  • Financial Assistance Programs: Guide patients in exploring and applying for financial assistance programs, including Medicaid, Medicare, and charity care. Advocate for patients to ensure they receive the financial support they need.

  • Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient financial records, including billing codes, payments, and correspondence. Coordinate administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient inquiries, and processing financial paperwork.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field.

  • Previous experience in patient financial services, healthcare administration, or customer service.

  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and insurance processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.

  • Empathy and compassion for patients facing financial challenges.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare administrative software.
