The Sr. Specialist, QC Systems is responsible for the supporting LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and Smart QC applications for QC laboratories, during the clinical and commercial manufacturing activities.

This includes, maintaining, updating, and working with Cell Therapy central LIMS supporting functions to troubleshoot all LIMS related issues and assisting with system updates and enhancements, as a subject matter expert.

This position will also be the LIMS technical representative to interface with multiple groups, in integration between LIMS, Smart QC, Manufacturing Electronic System and SAP systems. The Sr. LIMS Specialist role reports to the LIMS Associated Director QC Systems.

Shift Available:

  • Monday - Friday, Hybrid 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electronic systems testing as required (e.g., UAT)

  • Provide electronic systems operational support and troubleshooting to end user.

  • Create, deploy and sustain electronic systems documentation and Master Data.

  • Build a process for maintaining requirements for network QC for Smart QC deployment and management.

  • Perform project, CAPA and deviation/ investigation related tasks, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Propose and implement improvements to electronic systems to optimize business process and improve efficiency.

  • Support QC Management in anticipating mid- to long-term business needs and constraints. Support strategic proposals.

  • Train others on electronic system use and operation.

  • Perform other tasks as required to support the electronic systems.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to understand, follow, interpret and apply Global Regulatory and cGMP requirements accurately and completely.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.

  • Advanced technical, problem-solving skills and logical.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, department management and cross-functional peers.

  • Demonstrated experience of LIMS, ELN, Smart QC and laboratory data analysis systems.

  • Knowledge of analytical and microbiological test methods and environmental monitoring programs preferred.

  • Demonstrated technical writing skills.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in science or related engineering field. An equivalent combination of higher education and experience will be considered.

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in a regulated environment.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with LIMS application.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with QC scheduling.

  • A minimum of 1 year experience with SMART QC.

  • Basic understanding of programming (SQL).
